Neutrogena had a very successful light therapy mask on the market for teens and wanted to further engage with users via an FDA approved companion app. The main goal of the app was to encourage regular use of the mask for maximum effectiveness. Unfortunately, the masks were recalled for possible blue light induced eye damage, but the app was approved by the FDA.
